Someone I can’t recall said: “Castles in the sky are great until you try and move into them”. Isn’t that a deflating and yet often true statement? May dream of some preferred future, but our dreams are often just adult sized wishes. We don’t put much stock in wishing. Hope and wish are often used interchangeably in our modern language but they aren’t the same thing at all. Hopelessness is debilitating. Not getting your wish rarely creates any reaction. Hope is fundamental to our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing. Our final Christmas story is all about the hope we need and Christmas provides. Unpack it with me!
